Partitioning SD Card [How To] [Tutorial]

Partitioning SD Card means to divide SD card into different virtual parts. So, you might be asking why we need to divide our sd card into two or more parts. This need has come into existence with devices such as that have relatively low internal storage (only about 180 MB or 250 MB) as a result it has been very difficult to manage our apps and data within the internal storage. So, to remove such low internal memory problem we are going to partition our sd card and then install Script (A2SD,Link2SD etc) so applications and games will install to this sd-ext partition that we are going to create by default and we won’t have to worry about low internal memory problem.

How to do this cool stuff.:

1. Get a SD card reader if you dont have one.(Laptops have it inbuilt)

2. Download Mini Tool Partion Wizard for Windows, you can use the Mini Tool Partition Wizard or EASEUS Partition Master
    3. Connect your SD card via SD card reader only.

    4. Back-up SD card contents, because the SD Card will be in the Delete and Format Partition
In mini tool parition wizard ,delete partion

    5. Create PRIMARY partition  of 85-90 % of SD card with FAT32 file system

    6. Create PRIMARY partition of 14,5 -9,5 % of SD card with ext2/3

    7. Next in the space remaining Create PRIMARY partition with Linux swap

    8. Click apply changes and count till 700 or bake a cake till the formatting finishes

    9. Put the SD card back in the phone .Your space should now be reduced and it should be correctly mounted.
